Pedrosa Absent in MotoGP Catalunya

Dani Pedrosa eventually took the bitter decision to miss the MotoGP series which was held at home Grand Prix Catalunya, this weekend. Pedrosa has not quite fit after suffering right collarbone injury since last month.

"I try forcing myself as hard as possible. Unfortunately, my collarbone was not strong enough. I think I should rest a little and recharge," Pedrosa said as quoted by AP.

Pedrosa admitted actually really hoping to perform in Barcelona. "I would be very happy to be at Montmelo (Circuit de Catalunya) with all the fans who supported me. If I could race there, I would have struggled to win and give a stressful race," he said.

Pedrosa is now in position 3 MotoGP standings. After four GP, he was packing 61 points. Leader of the standings are occupied kompatriotnya racer on a Yamaha, Jorge Lorenzo with 78 points.
