Michael Owen has just signed a contract extension with Manchester United. Chester-born player contract was extended for 12 months. That is, he will be at Old Trafford until June 1, 2012.
Responding to the new contract, Owen was pleased and immediately looked at next season full of optimism. Players 31 years this has been two years playing with Chelsea and previously predicted to move in this summer.

Since 2009, Owen has appeared 30 times and scored 5 goals for Manchester United in the Premier League. Owen also became the only former Liverpool player who won the Premier League trophy this season.
Owen's new contract makes the competition on the front lines of The Red Devils getting hotter. In addition to Owen, Manchester United also has Dimitar Berbatov, Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez to stock attacker.
